"I’m new to Pilates, which class should i take?"
Our Mixed-Level classes are designed for all fitness levels, and our instructors provide modifications to meet you where you are. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, you’ll get personalized guidance to help you feel comfortable and confident.
We provide cues that guide you from beginner to advanced levels, allowing you to choose what feels best for your body. This approach ensures that beginners feel welcomed and supported, while still offering intermediate and advanced options for those who are ready in the same class.
If you are wishing to take a more beginner class option or move at a more gentle pace, our Support class is a great option! Additionally, we always recommend taking a private session to get comfortable on the Reformer, a basic understanding of Pilates, modifications for your body and answering any questions one on one with an instructor.

“I’m not flexible enough for Pilates.”
You don’t need to be flexible to start—Pilates helps you become more flexible while also building strength and stability. Our classes focus on gentle, controlled movements that improve your range of motion over time.
"How do I book a class?"
It’s easy! Simply visit our Schedule Page, choose a class that fits your schedule, and book your spot. If you’re new, we recommend signing up for one of our Intro Offers first then scheduling your first class with our Support or Mixed Level classes to get familiar with the movements. You’ll need to create a MINDBODY account. Even if you have a MINDBODY account on the App or with another studio, you will still need to create one here at Shyft and sign our liability waiver.
“What shoud I wear or bring to a Pilates class?"
Nope! We provide all the necessary equipment, including reformers, mats, and props. Just bring comfortable for-fitting workout clothes, grip socks a filled water bottle just in case, and a willingness to move! We also have small bottled waters available in the studio. Avoid loose clothing, as it can get in the way of exercises.
Grip socks are required starting July 1, 2025 to all classes.
Do you have beginner or intro classes?
Yes! Most of our classes are mixed-level and designed to support every stage of your Pilates journey. We also offer our Support classes which cater to beginners, those who have an injury or need to move at slower pace. Our Pilates instructors provide clear cues and modifications, so whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, you’ll be guided to move in a way that feels best for your body.
We also offer 1–2 free Intro Classes each month for new clients, plus rotating special offers designed to help you get started with confidence.
